Interview with Magali QUIRICONI (Field Manager, previously in the South West region and since October 2016 in the East region)
1/ You have just celebrated 20 years of collaboration with our company, can you explain your career path?
I joined B&W Marketing on 01/03/1997 as an Agency Assistant then as a data entry operator for merchandising reports at the head office in Aix En Provence. I managed the Paris region.
In 1998, I was assigned to the customer billing department and signed my permanent contract. In the meantime, I entered agreements, managed the sending of documents and even worked as a receptionist.
When BW and SIG merged in 2007, I was offered the position of merchandising manager, then in 2011 the position of field manager for the SOUTH WEST region, then the EAST region to date.
2/ In 20 years you have seen the company evolve, in what area?
Without hesitation, the field of computer processing. At the time, the agreements were sent by fax and even some by minitel.
The intervention reports were in triplicate, in carbon, one white, one yellow and one pink sheet.
3/ What has been the most successful development?
The arrival of KHEOPS ...
Previously we were working on the AS 400. We had to organise everything in duplicate on the two programs to do the handover.
And for me, this software has changed everything, a real evolutionary success
4/ On the job of Field Manager, how did this department function 20 years ago?
Twenty years ago, all the departments were well separated and in the merchandising department, it was not necessary to have contact with the animation department. Moreover, this was done in the regions, rather like today, we had several agencies in France: Aix En Provence, Toulouse, Rennes, Lyon and Paris. In Paris, the agency was located on a barge in the Port Gallieni.
5/ How do you see society in 20 years?
In 20 years' time, I think there will still be a lot of evolution, at least I hope so.
6/ Do you think you will still be around in 20 years?
You never know what can happen in a lifetime so I hope so.
In 20 years' time I will be approaching retirement age and will have spent my entire professional career at BW / SIG
