There are many career opportunities at SIG and some employees take up the opportunity to join SIG because of the many career opportunities in the service industry.

Today, let's take a look at François Caboche, the new Brand Advocate (BA), who joined the team at the end of August.
François' mission? To cover the Brittany area on behalf of one of our long-standing clients, a leading premium brand in the high-tech sector.
François is not new to his brand assignments.
Indeed, for many years now, he has been regularly involved in merchandising activities, particularly during new product launches.
To better understand why François decided to apply for a job at SIG but also to try to get to know him better, we asked him if he would be willing to answer a few questions.
And guess what? He accepted with pleasure and with his characteristic enthusiasm!

Hello François, can you introduce yourself in a few words?

François, 42 years old, Breton by adoption and originally from the north of France, still young in his head. I am passionate about travelling, wide open spaces and hiking.
I am a sportsman with a passion for Kin-Ball. The aim of the game is to serve the ball to one of the opposing teams in such a way that the latter cannot recover it before it hits the ground.
It is an activity that is still quite unknown in France, but I am proud to have obtained a beautiful 3rd place in the world cup!

What is your background?

I started my career in retail at Fnac, as a picture and sound salesman. I then travelled around the world for a year. On my return, I completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Unit Management and finally joined Bouygues Telecom.
Since 2016, in parallel to my activities, I have created my own micro brewery (La Kab'), local, respectful of the environment https://www.lakab.fr/nos-bi%C3%A8res*

How long have you been a merchandiser at SIG?

I have been working with SIG since September 2019 and since then I have not missed a single NPI!

What do you like about merchandising?

I have always had a certain interest in the merchandising business.
I enjoy discovering new shops. I am curious by nature and from my background as a salesperson, I like to observe how the customer experience is lived.

What image did you have of SIG when you were a merchandiser?

I got to know SIG through the mission for our high-tech client, which I didn't know much about the company, but I immediately appreciated the values that came out of it and the great rigour of the mission.

What made you apply for the BA offer?

I really enjoy riding and travelling around the different departments. And above all, I enjoy being autonomous in my area. Moreover, I have been a user of the brand for more than 20 years and I appreciate its entire ecosystem.
When I heard that there was a vacancy, I applied straight away and in the end my experience through the different NPIs was a great asset.

How did you experience your integration?

An excellent welcome, Oliver Barrault and Julien Arnaud (respectively sales manager and team leader) are great!
There is indeed a lot of information to assimilate from the start, but the advantage is that we are very quickly put in the bath!
The training is very comprehensive and well supervised. All the people I met put me at ease and were very caring.
Communication via the many GIS forums are tools for keeping in touch with colleagues and management.

Would you recommend working at SIG to your friends and family?

Yes, because it is a dynamic and organised company with a human dimension.
The people are very friendly and I have observed a healthy and organised management.

Thank you François for this time spent together!
