Nearly 800 million batteries and small energy accumulators are sold in France, i.e. 30,000 tonnes per year.<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Used batteries can be hazardous and toxic to health and the environment <\/span>if they are disposed of in the normal household waste. It is therefore preferable to recycle them, otherwise buy rechargeable batteries.
\nToday, only 30% of batteries are collected. The rest are thrown away.
\nIn your cities and shops there ares Batriboxes:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>These are small containers dedicated to the collection of batteries.
\nYou can find them in supermarkets, town halls or waste disposal centres.
\n<\/u><\/p>\n

On your marks, go, recycle but why?<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

    To save natural metal resources: iron, nickel, zinc, cadmium, lead, etc.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      To recover raw materials for reuse in the manufacture of new batteries<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        To reduce your household waste<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          To limit the risk of diseases: neurological disorders, kidney diseases, etc.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            And avoid intoxication and inhalation for animals<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
