From now on, your iPhone or Apple Watch will allow you to pay directly for your purchases with Apple Pay.<\/p>\n

It is the contactless mobile payment solution<\/strong>.\u00a0We p<\/span>resent\u00a0<\/span>The owner must use the \"Touch ID\" function by placing his finger on the phone, which recognises the owner's fingerprint, to validate the payment.<\/span><\/p>\n

  • the BPCE banking group<\/strong> (Banque Populaire and Caisse d'Epargne) for all Visa cardholders<\/li>\n
  • Carrefour<\/strong> with its 2.5 million customers who have the Mastercard Pass to pay in all its hypermarkets and supermarkets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    In theory, Apple Pay can be used on any terminal that accepts contactless payment (in France, this represents almost 400,000 points of sale<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

    In 2015, there were 22 million contactless payments<\/span>. The average purchase amount of \u20ac10.5 vs. \u20ac45 for an average bank card payment amount. Yet there are 40 million bank cards equipped with contactless technology (60% of the total) but only 3% of transactions are made with contactless<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    So the growth potential is significant<\/strong> !<\/h2>\n

    But the feeling of insecurity<\/span> is persistent. Apple has therefore clarified that each transaction has a unique number and that banking information is not stored on the devices or on its servers.<\/p>\n

    Apple Pay is already present in several countries = USA, Canada, Australia, UK.<\/p>\n
